Swim School

The kids started swim lessons today at Goldfish Swim School. I wish I could have gotten some pictures of them actually in the water. However, I had to be in the water with Anya and they had lesson's at the same time. Ryan's teacher said he did just great. He even put his face in the water. : ) Since Ryan has always been a bit scared of the water this was nice to hear. He said he really liked going, too! Now, Anya on the other hand is my little fish! I am amazed at how much she loves the water and feels so comfortable in it. She went under water a number of times and even swam from her teacher to me (briefly) underwater. When her lesson was over her teacher said she seems to be a natural in water.
They are both quite excited to go back again next week!

Pigtails

Anya wore her hair in pigtails today and Ryan asked for
them, too. : ) About an hour later he said he was done being
a girl and took them out.

I love you

Today Ryan told me he loved me as much as a pickle! Wow, I must be a pretty special mother to be loved as much as a pickle!

Day at the zoo...

going, gone...

She played in her crib from 12:30 until 2:00. So, we
gave up on naptime and packed the kids up for the zoo.
Within 5 minutes she was out.

Every so often Ryan and Anya will give each other big hugs! I had to run fast for my camera to capture these loving moments!!!!!

Easter morning

The Easter bunny left his footprints through the house this morning (baby
powder) and Ryan thought that was pretty funny. They had to search through the house for their Easter baskets which was fun, too! Later they went on an Easter egg hunt outside!

Coloring Easter eggs

Kids had a great time coloring Easter eggs. The picture I took of Anya coloring eggs didn't
turn out very nice so she is missing from this. She managed to make quite a mess with this
activity! Dye was all over her clothes!!! Then she was very upset so she stripped off all her
clothes.
I am not sure why Ryan is wearing his birthday crown from school.

Nice day...

to play outside! The kids got to wear their spring jackets,
too! Notice, all the snow melted! : ) We spent the entire
day outside. Even ate our lunch outside.

I am still waiting on the coughs to go away.

Forgot...

Not sure how this slipped my mind in my last post. Might have something to do with Ryan and Anya fighting over some silly toy and I had to end my last post abruptly.
When I took Ryan into his check-up today he had what I thought was a minor cold. Well...he needs to do breathing treatments and has the start to an ear infection! Only 2 weeks ago the kids had some diarrhea virus! I am suspecting Anya is on her way to an ear infection, too. I may be back at the pedi's soon.
Not sure I can take any more illnesses and spring snow! : (

Ryan's 4 year check-up

Ryan had his 4 year check-up today. He weighed 37 3/4 pounds (75th percentile!!!!!) and was
40 1/2 inches (50th percentile). I can't believe he gained 7 pounds in one year!
Dr. Butry asked him to identify shapes and colors, hop across the room on one foot, run, and various other little tests. He had a vision test that he passed, too. Best of all no shots! He gets 4 shots next year at his 5 year check-up.
I have to add...
Yesterday I was letting Ryan know that he had a check-up the next day with Dr. Butry and Anya was listening. She heard the word "doctor" and yelled out, "Shot! Ry Ry get shot! Get shot in leg! Get shot in bum!" This scared Ryan and he kept asking if he would get a shot.
