My Blue Angels...

Blue Angels

Ryan went with Axel to the Blue Angels air show. Even in the 90 degree heat they had a great time. Ry came back with lots of stories about smoke coming out of planes and planes that went upside down! Now instead of asking for airplanes rides from Daddy he asks for Blue Angel airplane rides. Anya, of course, can't be left with an ordinary airplane ride so she wants blue Angel rides too. It looks like this requires much more energy from Axel we'll see how long Axel can keep it up.

100 Degrees!

I am sure with the heat index it was well over 100. We kept cool in the pool all day. Leila and Nadim came over to swim. The minute they left our neighbors Jack and Joey came over to swim. Fabulous pool day!

Summer Activities

I decided this summer to try and keep things low key. Since we have our own pool I didn't see a need to book the kids into tons of camps and activities. So, this summer Ryan and Anya are both continuing with swim lessons at Goldfish swim school. They are both doing so well! Ryan moved to the Star group. His next group to advance to is the Pro's and after that he can decide if he wants to be on the swim team. Anya advanced to the Glider level which is really good for a 4 year old. So proud of my little fish! Both kids continue with Birmingham Library's summer reading program and being tutored (by me) at home. I just don't want them to forget all their knowledge over the summer. So, we play school everyday for about 45 minutes. Ryan is doing Lacrosse all summer and seems to enjoy it. Anya has continued with gymnastics. She is in the advanced class with her friend preschool friend Leila. Summer is going great! Very hot! Tomorrow it is suppose to reach 100 degrees!

Ryan Lost a Tooth!

WooHoo! Ryan lost his first tooth during Lacrosse last night! We put it in his special tooth box and placed the tooth box under his pillow. When he woke up the tooth fairy had left him $5. I was told you get the most money for your first tooth. Very exciting!!!!

Summer Reading

The kids are part of the Birmingham Library's Summer Reading Program. Here they are on our weekly trip to visit the library. They have a calendar of activities to do. After finishing activities they stamp their calendar/chart. Each time they stamp 6 they get their name a a special board and a prize. Today they finished all 30 of their calendar of activities!
