Allergies

This past month I took Ryan to the Allergist to see if there was a reason why every time he gets a cold he coughs for about 6 weeks. We have been battling this for the past 3 years it seems. So, I am not sure why I was so surprised when the test results read he was severely allergic to almost all trees, ragweed, grass, bushes, just about everything that grows outside and the cat! Yes, the cat! In a year or two the doctor will have him on shots once a week for a year. Allergy shots, also called immunotherapy are given to increase your tolerance to the allergens that cause the allergies. The doctor also believes that Ryan may have slight asthma. Seems the cold and coughing induce his asthma.
